Buying guide
Buy a forklift, or rent long term?
If you need a machine every working day for the next few years, this — not the brand — is the real decision. Here is the five-year comparison from a company that does both.
| Over 5 years | Buy | Long-term rental |
|---|---|---|
| Money up front | Full price | Deposit only |
| Monthly cost | Service and parts, variable | Fixed monthly rate |
| Servicing | Your responsibility | Included |
| If it breaks down | Your downtime | We replace it |
| Accounting | Capital expense, depreciates | Operating expense |
| At the end | You own it, with resale value | Return it, or buy it |
Buying usually wins if…
- The machine runs every working day for more than three years
- You have someone to maintain it, or you buy a service contract
- You have the capital and want the asset
Renting usually wins if…
- You want one fixed monthly figure with no surprises
- Downtime costs you more than the rental premium
- You would rather keep the capital in the business
Buy a machine and you own a machine. Rent it and you are securing the work that machine does — if it stops, getting it moving again is our job, not yours. Thirty-five years of rental in Malaysia taught us that, and it is the same reason we know which machines are worth selling.
Common questions
Is a used Japanese forklift better than a new Chinese one?
Not automatically. A well-kept Japanese machine with records often lasts longer, but a used machine with no history is a gamble at any price. Ask for the service record first, then compare prices.
Can I rent first and buy later?
Yes. Run the machine on rental, then purchase it. Ask how the rental already paid is treated.
Do you give warranty?
New machines carry factory warranty. For used and recon machines it depends on the unit — ask about the specific machine.
Do you deliver outside Klang Valley?
Yes. We work from Shah Alam, Penang, Johor and Bintulu, and deliver nationwide.
